St. Joseph County Voters are encouraged to vote by mail. The State of Indiana has relaxed the rules regarding requesting an Absentee Ballot by mail. Due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, all St. Joseph County Voters may request an Absentee Ballot, and do not need to provide a reason.
If you would like to request a ballot to be mailed to you, please complete an Absentee Ballot Request Form.
This form must include your party affiliation or signify if voting for public question only.
Please print the form, sign it and mail it to: St. Joseph County Circuit Court Clerk (Absentee Office), 101 S. Main St., South Bend, IN 46601.
You can email the completed and signed form to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax the form to 574-235-9838. You can also request an absentee ballot by calling (574) 235-1812.
Application deadline is May 21, 2020 by 11:59 PM. Applications must be in the Election Board Office by the deadline.

There are 12 polling locations in St. Joseph County approved by the Election Board for the 2020 Primary Election. Citizens can contact the Voter Registration Office at 574-235-9521 with any questions regarding the best location to vote.
