What and who are the Lions?
Lions are a group of service minded men and women who are committed to improving their community. Lions are young people, families and Baby Boomers alike. To be a Lion is to be an active volunteer of a highly respected international organization, a leader in your community and a friend to those in need.
Lions are ready to serve!
Whenever Lions get together, problems are solved and communities improve, because Lions help where help is needed – in our community and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy.
Lions are one of the most effective service club organizations in the world. We get the job done!
What have we done locally?
The New Carlisle Lions raises money through various fundraisers which support local groups such as New Prairie football and baseball teams, New Prairie girls basketball and New Prairie Care and Share programs.
We also support the New Carlisle food pantry, Olive Twp. Elementary dictionary project, Hamilton Grove retirement community, Camp Millhouse, Blaine Gamble Lions Scholarship fund, New Carlisle Parks department, plus numerous individuals throughout the community.
What contributions have we made to the Indiana and international Lions Club?
We are proud to support the Indiana Lions Cancer Control program, the Indiana Lions Eye and Tissue Bank, the Indiana Speech and Hearing program, the Indiana Lions School for the Blind and the Lions International Leader Dog program.
We are honored to be a part of these and other support programs.
