Here are some quick and easy recipes prepared in a crock pot for your Easter celebration. Let the crock pot “do the cooking for you.”

Crock Pot Ham 2-7 lb. ham boneless or bone-in 1 - 20 oz can sliced pineapple 1/3 cup brown sugar ½ tsp ground cloves candied cherries (optional)

Place ham in a crock pot. Drain the juice from the can of sliced pineapple and place in a separate bowl. Add brown sugar to the juice, whisking to dissolve; add ½ tsp ground cloves and whisk to combine. Arrange slices of pineapple all over the surface of your ham and in between slices. (you may want to pre-slice the ham) Place candied cherries inside the pineapple. Pour all of the pineapple juice mixture on top. Replace the crock pot lid and cook on low for 3-5 hours (7 lb.) 2-4 lb. ham approximately 2 hours. Bone-in hams will take 5-6 hours to fully heat up.

Brown Sugar Sweet Potatoes with Apples 5 lbs sweet potatoes (about 10 medium) 3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into 1-inch slices 3/4 cup butter, cubed 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Peel and cut potatoes lengthwise in half; cut crosswise into ½ inch slices. Place potatoes and apples in a 6 qt slow cooker. In a small saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar and pie spice. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook until blended (1-2 min). Pour over potato mixture. Cook covered on low until potatoes are tender (5-6 hours) With a slotted spoon, remove potatoes and apples to a bowl, reserving cooking liquid. Mash potato mixture, gradually adding enough reserved cooking liquid, if necessary to reach desired consistency.

Etc. — Both these recipes are super easy - The brown sugar and pineapple provide a sweet, tangy flavor to the ham. The ham is tender, flavorful and juicy! The sweet potato dish can be made ahead of time, allow to cool, and refrigerate up to two days.

On Easter, put it in the crock pot and set to low about two hours before serving and reheat while your other dishes are prepared. All in all, whatever you decide to serve, have a very Blessed and Happy Easter!
