Hometown Days Trivia Night
As the weather warms up, it’s time to start thinking about summertime in New Carlisle. As always, the biggest party of the summer in town is the annual Hometown Days festival in July.
To keep this tradition alive, volunteers from Hometown Days work throughout the year to raise funds to support the activities and attractions during the festival weekend, such as the popular Friday night fireworks display and live entertainment at the Memorial Park Gazebo.
One of the major fundraisers is the upcoming annual trivia night, planned for Saturday, April 27 at the American Legion Post 297 in New Carlisle.
Doors open at 6pm EDT, with the trivia competition beginning at 7pm EDT. The cost to enter is $100 per table, with a maximum of ten people allowed per team.
Hosted by Hometown Cup Finals broadcaster Ken Peterson, the trivia categories range from pop culture to sports and are sure to test your general knowledge. A cash prize will be awarded to the top team.
Between rounds, you will have an opportunity to play some traditional 50/50 chance games like heads/tails and Simon Says.
Even if you don’t win at trivia, you won’t necessarily leave empty handed. There will be plenty of opportunities to win with the piggy raffles. (Hometown Days is still accepting donations for items.)
Trivia Night is a 21 and older event with a cash bar. Proceeds from the bar and food sales will go to the American Legion, so the event is an opportunity to benefit two community groups.
To reserve your table, contact Koby Keck at (574) 876-2522 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This summer will mark the 15th annual Hometown Days festival, which will be held July 26-28. For more information on the entertainment, events, and attractions, visit www.hometowndays.net.
