For the past 12 years, Hudson Township properties have been maintained by our friend and neighbor, Steve Chizar. Every Wednesday, from spring through fall, you could find Steve riding the Township’s mower in his wide brim hat and holding his trusty weed whacker – taking care of the cemetery, the park, and sometimes losing the battle with those pesky weeds down by the beach. When there has been storm damage, Steve was there to clear fallen branches and trees. Then there was leaf pickup, vandalism clean-up and repair, trash removal, tree trimming, beach area grooming, maintaining and storing the township mower, just to mention a few of the many things Steve did.
We sometimes forget the people behind the scenes who provide such valuable service for the enjoyment of others. It has been my privilege to work with him for the past eight years. THANK YOU, Steve Chizar, for all you have done for the people of Hudson Township!
