Purdue Extension Ag Update Meeting
Farmers interested in planning for next year’s crop production and learning the latest about insect pest management and efficient soil sampling are invited to attend an ag update program on Friday, December 15, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (EST) at the New Carlisle Public Library at 408 S. Bray Street in New Carlisle, IN.
Participants are asked to arrive at 9:30 a.m. (EST) to register and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Sponsored by Purdue Extension in La Porte and St. Joseph Counties, the program will feature presentations on managing insect pests in field crops and efficient soil sampling for precision nutrient management by Purdue Extension specialists.
Information will also be shared about using precision agriculture tools to comply with regulatory setbacks for application of fertilizers and pesticides.

Indiana farmers who are private pesticide applicators may receive credit for the recertification of their license by attending the session and paying a $10 PARP fee (bring your PA license to the meeting).
Approval has also been received for commercial applicator credits (CCHs) and Certified Crop Adviser CEUs.
