Art was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, however spent his youth at Hudson Lake, graduating from New Carlisle High School in 1958. Art served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Art worked for years with LaPorte company, National Can, before this work took him to Gallatin, Tennessee. Art regularly came to his class reunions and entertained his classmates with non-stop jokes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathleen (Kimita) Williams, a graduate of Washington High School. They had two daughters, Wendy (deceased) and Cindy. They also had four grandchildren, plus one deceased, and two great-grandchildren. Surviving is a brother, Tom, of Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church and Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin, Tennessee on October 3.
