Rice has many health benefits which include its ability to provide fast and instant energy, regulate and improve bowel movements, stabilize blood sugar levels, and slow down the aging process, while also providing an essential source of vitamin B1. These are just of the few benefits that rice provides. In this issue, I am sharing with you my special rice recipe.
Special Rice Recipe 2 cups water 2 tsp salt 1 cup long grain rice (not instant) garlic salt 1/3 cups butter can of chicken broth parsley
Boil water and salt; pour boiling water over rice. Leave set for 30 minutes. Rinse with cold water - drain. Melt butter, add rice and stir for about 5 minutes. Place in a 8 x 8 casserole dish and sprinkle with garlic salt. (Note: The rice dish can be refrigerated at this point.) Pour chicken broth over the mixture. Bake covered for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Sprinkle parsley over the rice mixture and fluff with fork.
Etc. — You will be amazed of this terrific dish. It can be served with whatever entree you decide to serve. I have a friend whose mother never misses a holiday without making this rice dish!
