Healthy Vibes Coming Soon to New Carlisle
An exciting new business is coming to New Carlisle this month. The Healthy Vibes Nutrition Club is set to open soon at 511 West Michigan Street.
In addition to serving up healthy smoothies, the club will also offer various fitness classes and will provide a friendly environment for those looking to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Healthy Vibes is owned by Jack and Angie Pritchard, with help from their daughter, Taylor, and son, Tyler. The smoothie bar follows a recent trend of several other locations opening up across Michiana, including South Bend, Mishawaka, Niles, and North Liberty.
Each is independently owned, but all are tied together through Herbalife nutrition products.
Herbalife offers 8-10 base flavors that can be made to over 100 common flavors, like German chocolate cake, Butterfinger, orange cream, and many more. Even coffee-flavored smoothies are available. According to Jack, they are low in sugar, high in protein, and typically don’t exceed 270 calories.
They will also offer a variety of different teas, which come with an energy booster called “lift-off.”
Proper nutrition and exercise are key in any journey and Healthy Vibes hopes to provide that support.
After being diagnosed with diabetes, Jack committed to exercise and changing his diet. He is now down 60 pounds.
Fitness classes will be another focal point of Healthy Vibes. They have already signed an instructor for POUND classes, which is described as a “cardio jam session inspired by the fun of playing the drums.”
While scheduling is still being worked out, yoga and possibly Zumba classes will be added. Each class will be able to accommodate about 10-15 people.
The club hopes to eventually bring some exercise classes to Memorial Park and even sponsor a mini-triathlon by next year.
The Pritchard family aims to make the club a place of community activity. Inspired by the popular sitcom, they have a special “Friends” gathering area, featuring a coffee table, couches, television, and internet access.
They are planning Karaoke Nights and will also be open late after home football games on Friday nights.
The Herbalife products can be used to make pancakes, so they will occasionally be having breakfasts. Instead of chili cook-offs, they will be holding healthy food competitions as well.
The club will be holding weight loss challenges and on-site coaching with the goal of really engaging the community.
The target opening date for Healthy Vibes is this Saturday, August 26 to coincide with the “Grand Re-Opening” event across downtown. The initial plan is to be open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Eastern Time.
Healthy Vibes Nutrition Club is located on the west side of New Carlisle in the plaza building between Leo’s Barbershop and Tranquility 30-60-90.
