Keeping busy at the United Methodist Church

June 15, 2017

School's out, school's out... you know the rest of the song.  School is out, the long-awaited passage into summer has arrived.

Young people have or will be starting summer jobs, summer school, or summer vacations.

We are blessed to have some of our youth going on a mission trip to Sandusky, Ohio, with youth from LaPorte First United Methodist Church.

My oldest daughter is doing something I never had the opportunity to, go to Church Camp.  I am proud of her.  Two of her good friends are going too.  Look out Camp Adventure!

We were blessed to have members of New Prairie High School class of 2017, members of the environmental club, help plant the community garden.

I was impressed by this group of young people.  The way they worked together, and had fellowship afterwards, bodes well for their future and ours as well.

We will also have members of the New Prairie High School Band helping us at our booth at Hometown Days.
We hope to see you at Taste of New Carlisle or Vacation Bible School later this month.

We will be packing backpacks for our giveaway again this year.  Entry forms will be available at our booth at Taste of New Carlisle and also at our booth over Hometown Days in July.  The drawing will be on July 31st.  6 Elementary  4 Middle  4 High School.

If you have a child who would like to be a part of Vacation Bible School, it is not too late.

Vacation Bible School will be held June 24 and June 25 from 6-8 Town Time at the United Methodist Church of New Carlisle, 300 Compton Street in New Carlisle.

You can go to our Facebook page or register online at http:/vbspro.events/p/e9468a, or call the church at 574-654-7442.
