According to the National Fire Protection Association and National Volunteer Fire Council, 69% of firefighters in the United States are volunteers, protecting 115 million people, and saving communities $139.8 billion per year.
The New Carlisle Fire Department is currently in need of volunteers to help serve our community.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license, and live or work in the Town of New Carlisle, Olive Township, or Hudson Township.
No experience is required, however volunteers must be committed to obtaining state certifications as firefighters and Emergency Medical Responder/Emergency Medical Technician. Members must also be willing to help with the department's functions.
