Ark Encounter Videos at Olive Chapel
Noah’s Ark is a mind-blowing sight nestled in the rolling, green hills of Kentucky.
The Ark Encounter is situated in beautiful Williamstown, Kentucky (northern Kentucky) which is halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington.
This massive architectural masterpiece is biblical in size — it is a football field and a half long (510 feet); 85 feet wide; and 7 stories high (51 feet)!
It is the largest timber-frame structure in the world, full of world-class exhibits designed to answer your questions about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark.
From the moment you turn the corner on your entrance into the Ark, you will immediately see the towering Ark in your view along with the friendly animals in the zoo to the jaw-dropping exhibits inside the Ark, and thus experience the pages of the Bible like never before!
The Ark is illuminated with rainbow colors in the evening as a testament to the true meaning of the rainbow. After the Flood, God designated the rainbow as the sign of His covenant to never again destroy the whole earth with water.
But what architectural firm on earth could possibly have the expertise to actually construct something so massive? The answer turns out to be the Indiana-based Troyer Group.
This 45-person firm has already built some of the country’s largest freestanding wooden structures. Leroy Troyer, the President of the Troyer Group, is from our own Mishawaka, Indiana.
He serves on the Board of Trustees at Bethel College and holds a degree from the University of Notre Dame. It took thousands of workers, including hundreds of Amish craftsmen 24 months to construct The Ark.
The GOOD NEWS is that, Olive Chapel Church will be unveiling a series of videos on Sunday, February 26.
We will start at 10:00am Eastern Time, with snacks and beverages, and view the videos “The Building of the Ark Encounter” and “Building the Exhibits of Ark Encounter."
At 11:45am, the adventure will continue with “The Noah Interview” as we enjoy light refreshments. About 12:15pm, we will take a “Journey through the Creation Museum.”
Please join us for any or all of the above videos; just come in, have a seat and make yourself at home. Children are welcome. We have Veggie Tales and other movies for them and a chaperone, so you will be able to enjoy yourselves.
Olive Chapel Church is located at the corner of State Road 2 and Timothy Road in New Carlisle.
