The beautiful red color of strawberries typify the sweetest day, “Valentine’s Day.” Enjoy these “Valentine Night Strawberries” recipes for you and your loved ones!

Be Mine Strawberries 16 oz milk chocolate chips 2 T. shortening 1 lb fresh strawberries with leaves, clean and insert toothpicks into the tops; Melt the chocolate and shortening in a double boiler, stirring until smooth; Dip the strawberries by holding them by the toothpicks into the chocolate mixture; Turn strawberries upside down and lay the strawberries on aluminum foil to cool.

Sweet Valentine Salad 2 cups crushed pretzels 3/4 cup butter, melted 3 T. white sugar 1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened 1 cup white sugar 1 (8 oz) whipped topping 2 (3 oz) strawberry flavored jell-o 2 c. boiling water 2 (10 oz) packages frozen strawberries

Preheat oven to 400 degrees; Stir together crushed pretzels, melted butter and 3 T. sugar, mix well and press mixture into bottom of a 9 x13 inch baking dish; bake 8 - 10 minutes, until set. Cool; Cream together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar.

Fold in whipped topping; spread onto crust.

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in still frozen strawberries & allow to set briefly.

When mixture is consistency of egg whites, pour & spread over cream cheese layer.

Refrigerate until set.
