Excelsior Lodge #41 hosting blood drive
The Free and Accepted Masons Excelsior Lodge #41 celebrating 178 years of Freemasonry in La Porte, Indiana, is teaming up with the American Red Cross for its inaugural blood drive.
The blood drive will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 9:00am to 2:30pm on the third floor at the Masonic Lodge located at 820 Jefferson Avenue in La Porte.

As Free and Accepted Masons working with the American Red Cross, as a lifesaving partnership, it feels good to be part of neighbors helping neighbors in the time of need and helping to promote a cause that saves millions of lives each year.
Donating blood is a meaningful way to volunteer in the community, each donation can save as many as three (3) lives.
The American Red Cross empowers ordinary people from every walk of life to perform extraordinary acts of services, but they share on thing – a generous spirit, a desire to give back to their community and help others.
Summer is a difficult time to collect blood to meet patient’s needs. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with type O negative, A negative, and B negative.
To give, blood donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. A valid form of identification must be presented to donate. Refreshments will be available to donors.
