Greetings from the United Methodist Church

It is wonderful to have a community Newspaper in operation again. Much will be happening in the community over the next couple of months and what better way to share the news than with a newspaper?

June 25th will be the Taste of New Carlisle event at Memorial Park. If you haven’t tried this in the past, it is a wonderful event full of culinary delights from the local area. The time is 12:00 to 5:00pm EDT.

While you are at the park check out the new Playground Equipment. A big shout out to the Park Board for making this happen and to all the volunteers that helped put it together.

June 25th and 26th will be Vacation Bible School at our church at the corner of Compton and Race streets. “Pets Unleashed” is the theme. Registration information is available on our Facebook page. July will bring Hometown Days back to Memorial Park (July 29th through 31st).

Our food booth will be there. Additionally we will hold drawings to award backpacks full of school supplies. Two elementary, two middle school and two high school backpacks will be awarded. Entry slips will be available at our booth, no purchase necessary.

As we did last year, we will be collecting non-perishable food items during the Hometown Days parade. We will be pushing the shopping carts, hoping that you will help fill them up. ALL of the items will go to the Community Food Pantry of New Carlisle.

Be blessed and be a blessing.
