NEW CARLISLE- After having their winning streak snapped, New Prairie wasted no time getting back into the win column with a dominating 16-3 victory over Rochester on Monday, May 23 at Harry "Bear' Tolmen Field.
After spotting the Zebras a run in the top of the first, New Prairie put up three, four and nine runs in their first three at-bats respectively.
Rochester went on to score two in the fifth, but their late rally was not enough to extend the game, as the Cougars won via the ten-run rule.
Justin Cromey went four innings to pick up the win on the mound. Cromey allowed just the one run, while striking out two and walking one. Brad Kasinger, Bryce Bloode, and Addison Kuntz each drove in a pair of runs. While Mason Workman went two for three with a triple. The patient New Prairie lineup took 11 walks at the plate.
