MISHAWAKA- New Prairie finished off a 9-5 conference victory over Mishawaka on Thursday, May 12.
Six innings of the game were completed on Monday night before being halted by rain with the Cougars up, 6-5, with one out in the top of the seventh inning.
The Cougars grabbed the lead on an RBI single by Zach Ketterer, scoring Mason Workman.
New Prairie trailed 4-0 until they put up a five spot in the fifth inning. Mishawaka answered in the bottom of the sixth with a run to tie it back up.
After the game resumed, New Prairie added on three insurance runs to finish off a four-run seventh.
Bryce Bloode got the win on the mound after pitching the final 1 and 1/3 innings.
