UNION MILLS- New Prairie improved to 7-11 overall on the season with a rout of South Central on Saturday, April 30.
The Cougars capitalized on nine Satelitte errors to cruise to a non-conference victory.
New Prairie scored the first nine runs of the ballgame to back starting pitcher Garrett Ruiz.
Ruiz went the distance, giving up only two earned runs and striking out seven South Central hitters.
Offensively, New Prairie was led by Connor VanOverberghe, who went three for five at the plate and drove in three runs.
Ben McDonald went two for two and walked three times. He doubled in the third inning.
Evan Knowlton and Dylan Kegley also doubled, each driving in a pair of runs on the day.
The Cougars scored in every inning but the fifth.
