We all know the biggest party of the year in New Carlisle happens the last weekend of July, but the Hometown Days committee will be hosting a fun night of trivia and more on Saturday, April 30.
The event, which will be held at the American Legion Post 297 in New Carlisle, is a fundraiser for the festival.
Doors open at 6pm EDT, with the trivia competition beginning at 7pm EDT. The cost to enter is $10 per person, with a maximum of ten people allowed per team.
Categories range from geography to pop culture to sports and are sure to test your general knowledge and challenge you with obscure facts.
A cash prize will be awarded to the top team.
Between rounds, you’ll have an opportunity to play some traditional 50/50 chance games like heads/tails and some other special games. HTD President Doug Vaundry will surely keep you on your toes with a round of Simon Says.
Even if you don’t win at trivia, you won’t necessarily leave empty handed. There will be plenty of opportunities to win with the piggy raffles. Hometown Days is still accepting donations for items. To donate, contact Kimber Vaundry at 574-654-3484.
Food will be available for purchase, as well as a cash bar. Proceeds from the bar will go to the American Legion, so the event is an opportunity to benefit two community groups.
From the spectacular fireworks to the live entertainment in the gazebo, funds raised from the trivia night will be used to make the 12th annual Hometown Days festival, to be held July 29-31, the best one yet.
